This simple and refreshing drink is sure to please the group at any gathering. The Moscow Mule emerged in the early 40’s around the same time as The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver was coming of age. You can make it home with no trouble and if you can serve it in a signature copper mug even better. It’s spicy ginger flavor make it a holiday favorite, although the squeeze of lime means it is equally refreshing on a warm summer day.
Ingredients for 1
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce lime juice
Lime wheel for garnish
Squeeze lime juice into a Collins glass (or Moscow Mule mug) and drop in the spent shell.
Add 2 or 3 ice cubes, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer.
Serve with a stirring rod.
